How it all started.
We're Anna Marie and Krista. Childhood friends, partners in this thing, and — fair warning — relentless optimists about what the human body is capable of.
We've known each other long enough to have shared bad haircuts, worse fashion decisions, and some of the best conversations of our lives. The kind of friendship where you pick up right where you left off, no matter how much time has passed.
Anna went on to become a Medical Director. Krista built a career in business. Both of us got married, are building families, and arrived somewhere in our adult lives with the same quiet realization: we were so busy doing life that we'd stopped thinking about how to protect it.
We weren't sick. We weren't struggling. But we were tired in that creeping, low-grade way that becomes the new normal if you're not careful — the kind of tired you explain away because everyone around you seems to feel the same.
It was Anna who started asking the harder questions first. As a physician, she sees what happens when health gets neglected over decades. The patterns are predictable. The outcomes, often preventable. She started digging into the science of longevity — not the biohacker fringe stuff, but the fundamentals. The non-negotiables. The things the research keeps coming back to.
Sleep kept rising to the top.
Not as a trendy wellness topic. As a biological cornerstone. The thing your body relies on to repair, regulate, restore, and reset — every single night. Get it right, and everything else gets easier. Get it wrong, long enough, and the costs compound in ways most people don't connect to a bad night's rest.
The truth is, the idea of building something in the wellness space had been sitting with both of us for years. We'd circle back to it, get excited, and then life would get in the way. The timing never felt quite right.
What changed wasn't the idea. It was the urgency.
Over the past few years, we watched people we love — close friends, family members, people who seemed completely fine — face serious health challenges that stopped them in their tracks. The kind that makes you pause and reckon with how fragile the whole thing is if you're not actively protecting it. Those experiences have a way of turning a "someday" into a "we have to do this now."
We didn't want to build just another wellness brand. We wanted to build something that could genuinely help the people sitting across from us at dinner, the ones we're texting at midnight, the ones we'd do anything for. And we decided to start where we both kept landing personally — the thing we struggled with ourselves, the thing that came up over and over in the lives of the people around us. Sleep. The foundation everything else is built on.
We brought our husbands into it early, because that's the kind of people we are. This wasn't going to be a side project — it was going to be built the right way, with people we trust completely. Four of us, all in, building something we'd actually use ourselves and hand to the people we love most.
